It's Thanksgiving! One of my favorite Holidays. I love watching the Parade while eating cinnamon rolls, getting all dressed up and visiting with dear family and close friends, eating turkey (not just today but for the rest of the weekend) and all of those yummy pies! Thanksgiving is also a time that I like to sit down amongst all the Holiday hustle and buslte to reflect on all of things I am thankful for...
a warm house that keeps the Maine cold out...
the beautiful toothy grin on my daughter's face as she wakes up every morning...
food on the table every day (even if it is only grilled cheese and tomato soup some nights :) ...
my loving husband who would go to the ends of the earth for myself and our family...
close friends who always encourage and lift me up...
my God who loved me enough to send his Son...
and SO much more!
I encourage you to take some time to think about all that YOU have to be thankful for. As we all know, Thanksgiving is also the official kick off of the Christmas Shopping season (especially with Black Friday starting earlier and earlier every year)! And as much fun as it is scoring great deals to give as gifts, it's even better to remember all of the priceless gifts that we already have!
So, whether you're watching the parade, helping yourself to another piece of pumpkin pie, taking a nap from all that turkey or standing in line hoping to score the hottest Christmas gift this season. I wish all of you a most blessed and Happy Thanksgiving!
